This personal data processing policy (“Policy”) regulates the processing of personal data of users (“User” or “Users”) collected and processed in connection with the use of the website legalsense.pt (“Website”).
1- Responsible for processing personal data
The personal data of the Users of this Website are processed by Salomé Lind, lawyer with professional domicile at Rua João Infante, 104 R/C A, 2750-384 Cascais, in the capacity of controller (“Responsible”).
2- How personal data are collected
Access to and use of the Website does not require the provision of personal data by the User. Such personal data may, however, be provided by the User or collected and processed by the Responsible Party within the context of:
Contact forms, through which the User requests information or contact, or submits opinions and other contributions (feedback).
3- Personal data subject to processing
The personal data collected and processed by the Officer may include information on:
Name, e-mail address and telephone number of the User.
Requests for information, suggestions and comments sent by the User through forms and/or other means of contact indicated on the Website.
4- Legal basis and purposes of treatment
The processing of personal data under the terms set out here is based on the consent of the User and is intended for the purpose:
To enable contact between the person in charge and the user, in particular for the purpose of replying to communications and requests for information from the user.
5- Communication of personal data
The User’s personal data will not be communicated to third parties, except when:
The User has given his/her express consent;
The person in charge is obliged by law, regulation or deontological obligation inherent to his/her activity to make such communication;
The communication is necessary for the assertion, defence or execution of a right of the Responsible Party and/or the fulfilment by the User of the terms and conditions governing the use of this Website;
The communication is addressed to subcontractors of the Responsible Person who, in the context of the services provided, process personal data (in particular, providers of electronic communication services, operation of the Website, sending of periodic information).
6- International data transfers
The person responsible does not transfer personal data of users collected and processed for the purposes set out here outside the European Union.
7- Security measures
The Manager makes considerable efforts in the adoption of technical and organizational security measures to protect the personal data of Users against unauthorized access, including closed systems of access, permissions and physical security of facilities and servers. Nevertheless, Users must always ensure that they adopt adequate security measures to, for example, protect their equipment and preserve or recover the data that is housed in it, the confidentiality of access credentials, the security and integrity of communications and information sent or received over the Internet and/or avoid viruses, harmful software and worms.
8- Period of retention of personal data
Without prejudice to the rights of the user and in particular the right to withdraw the user’s consent to the processing of his or her personal data, the person responsible shall retain the user’s personal data only for as long as they are necessary for the purposes of the processing described above, and such retention may not exceed a period of 5 (five) years from the date of collection, without prejudice to the existence of a legal obligation on the person responsible to retain personal data for an additional period.
9- Rights of the User
The User has the right to be informed about the processing of his/her personal data and to request access to such data; to ensure that the person responsible rectifies or deletes incorrect or outdated personal data he/she deals with; and to oppose, demand the limitation of the processing and/or withdraw his/her consent to the processing. Withdrawal of consent by the User shall not, however, prejudice the processing carried out until that date.
