The main requirement is to have an Income over 3,480€ earned outside of Portugal and more than 10,440€ in savings.

This permit's first validy is 2 years and 3 years on its renewal.

Residents under this permit need not to leave Portugal for more than 6 months in a row or 8 months in total during the PR validity period.

Enterpreneur / Business Visa

D2 Visa
The main requirement is to buy and existing company or create a new one. The applical should also have 10,440€ in an bank account.

This permit's first validy is 2 years and 3 years on its renewal.

Residents under this permit need not to leave Portugal for more than 6 months in a row or 8 months in total during the PR validity period.

Passive Income

D7 Visa
The main requirement is to have a passive Income over 870€ and more than 10,440€ in savings.

This permit's first validy is 2 years and 3 years on its renewal.

Residents under this permit need reside in Portugal for 1.5 years in a row or 16 months in total over 2 years

Golden Visa

The main requirement is to make an investment over 250.000€ - depending on the type of investment chosen.

This permit's first validy is 2 years and 2 years on its renewals.

Residents under this permit need reside in Portugal 7 days a year.

After five years of residence in Portugal, foreigners may apply for a permanent residence permit or citizenship.
